This is: $85 class fee (paid upon registration), and a $15 materials fee (paid to the teacher at the start of class).
Join us to bind a multi-gathering book that includes decorative papers stitched into a paper cover. This class will touch on the vocabulary of book anatomy, the tools needed for hand book binding, and material considerations for making beginner book structures. Great for beginner binders with no glue needed to make your new journal, poetry, recipe, or guest book.
Joelle Webber, our guest instructor for this class, has spent 40 years collecting book arts techniques in college & workshop settings. She now designs classes for many different communities of makers based on her experience in writing, paper decorating, collage, calligraphy, pop-up, paper sculpting, book binding and box making.
All tools and materials needed for the class will be provided.
No prior experience is necessary to participate. Class is appropriate for participants age 15+. Any participant under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult also participating in the class. Please reach out with any questions.
