Hearth brooms are bound with full stalks of broomcorn on hardwood saplings handles that I harvest in the forests of coastal Maine. These saplings were all gathered on the same day in late summer before being dried and meticulously carved to give a smooth and pleasant feel in the hand. Each broom is unique based on the life of the tree on which it is bound, and these hearth brooms have some character! All brooms are created with utility in mind.
