Brooms are bound with full stalks of broomcorn on hardwood saplings handles that I harvest in the forests of coastal Maine. Saplings are gathered, dried, and meticulously carved to give a smooth and pleasant feel in the hand. Each broom is unique based on the life of the tree on which it is bound. Some handles are pin straight, some have a little extra curvy attitude. Some are more slender, some are larger in diameter. All brooms are created with utility in mind.
